It has been a great year, I’ve bike a total of 7188km (my all time yearly record) an just like in 2015 I did not make a big trip abroad. I did make some rides in Belgium including the bemc.be (for the second time) and some rides in France near our house in Aubenton.
Made my longest ride (204km) yet. Together with my colleagues from work to the most nearby valtech office outside of the Netherlands. Which was a very nice ride!

And last but not least I bought a new road bike, a Cannondale Synapse carbon disc a very nice bike indeed!
And last week I have refurbished my old Cube ltd. team from 2007, which I will use for beach races. So as of now my barn holds a total of 4 bikes, which is the max ;-)
2017
Big ride plans for this year! I’m setting a new ride goal for a total of 10.000km. Always good to set a goal, right? Without my daily commute rides. I only log rides from my road & mountainbike.
And this year I’m going to make a big bike trip again, I will go to South Africa to ride the joberg2c very excited to go there! This will be at the end of April, 21-29 to be exact, with a total of 9 ride days and 900km’s. Other plans than that is that I will of course prepare for this event and will ride some big tours in the Netherlands with my road bike as well as with my mountainbike.
